About

Hi! You’ve probably arrived here because I commented on someone else’s blog here at wordpress. My home blog is actually here. Please visit me there.

I’m an urban apt.-dweller, trying to be content with container gardening over the years, finally signs up for a plot in a community garden.

I’m also a member of the N.E. Wildflower Society, the ACGA (American Community Gardening Association), my local co-op grocery market, Harvest Co-Op, the Mass. Trustees of Reservations, and the Wells National Estuarine Research Center.

I grew up practicing organic gardening in our family garden without knowing that’s what we were doing. Now it doesn’t feel like a political sentiment, just practical good sense.

The main blog was created to be my online garden journal as I plod through larger scale gardening and relearn things I’ve forgotten over my years in the urban environment. WordPress holds the more mundane, prosaic aspects of garden journaling (i.e., far less interesting to read): records of weather, air and soil temperatures, and rainfall. Yep. BO-ring, that’s why I’m trying to redirect you over to the main blog, right?

So, I’m sure I’ve forgotten a lot, but since I can’t give up on the idea of having a garden in spite of my life in the city…here goes. Bear with me, and don’t be afraid to drop by and say hello.
